CANDLE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Trim the Wick Before Every Use
Always trim the wooden wick to ⅛ inch (3–4 mm) before lighting. This helps the candle burn evenly and prevents large flames or soot.
2. Let the First Burn Create a Full Melt Pool
Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt edge to edge (usually 2–3 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures maximum fragrance.
3. Burn in 2–3 Hour Sessions
Wooden wicks perform best when burned for short, consistent sessions. Avoid burning more than 4 hours at a time.
4. Keep the Wick Clean
Remove any ash or burnt pieces from the wick before each use. A clean wick = cleaner burn.
5. Place on a Heat-Resistant Surface
Always burn your candle on a flat, stable, heat-safe surface away from drafts, curtains, and fans.
6. Do Not Burn Till the Bottom
Stop use when 10 mm (½ inch) of wax remains to prevent overheating of the glass.
7. Relighting Tip for Wooden Wicks
If the flame is too weak, blow it out, trim the wick again, remove excess ash, and relight.
8. Never Leave Unattended
Do not leave a burning candle unattended or near children and pets.
9. Store Properly
Keep your candle away from direct sunlight and dust to maintain fragrance quality.
10. Extinguish Safely
Use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into melted wax and straighten it again.
